Dr. Salman Shahid, clinical lead and senior business partner at Rochdale Road Medical Centre, was honored with the NHS Healthcare Champion award by the British Government’s Health Minister in July 2023. Recognized for his advocacy of integrated health and social care models, Dr. Shahid’s efforts in collaborating with community and voluntary services have addressed challenges such as poverty, isolation, and mental health issues, particularly among young people.
